Best Test XIs

Each XI is the highest-rated player at every position from the Beat My 11 database, using our ratings and full Test career numbers.

An all-time XI is a team, not a list of the best eleven batters, so every page fills the same positions as the game: two openers, three middle-order batters, a wicketkeeper, an all-rounder with a spinner or another bowler in the flex places, and three fast bowlers. Only players with at least 50 Tests are considered. The all-time page includes a final choice made by hand; the others follow the ratings.

Era pages show players whose careers overlapped that period, with their full career numbers, not only the years in it. Nation pages pick from that country's players alone. Not every country has enough players with 50 Tests to fill an XI, so some nations are missing. Compare any XI with your own: spin six times in the game and see if your draft beats the World XI.
