How Pick any XI works
There are no spins here. Tap any of the eleven spots, search for a player by name, or filter by nation, and put them in. The spots are fixed: two openers, three middle-order batters, one wicketkeeper, two all-rounders or spinners, and three fast bowlers. The rows show real career numbers; no player rating is shown.
When all eleven are in, press “Play the World XI”: your XI plays the same five-match series as the spin draft, with the same scoring and the same difficulty, and you see each match, both sides’ strength and a spot-by-spot comparison. The same XI always gets the same series. Then send it to a friend with “Challenge a friend”. The link you send carries your XI. Your friend sees it, picks their own, and the two XIs play a five-match series. Anyone who opens the result link sees the same series: the five matches, each side’s batting, bowling and fielding strength, and a spot-by-spot comparison. When your friend presses “Send the result back”, you see their answer the next time you open Beat My 11. Your record against each friend is kept on your own phone.
Between friends neither side gets a head start: two XIs within a point of each other draw the series 2–2, and the bigger the gap, the bigger the win. There is no sign-up. Your XI travels in the link; we keep nothing about it unless your friend presses “Send the result back”, which stores their XI and name (if they typed one) for up to 60 days so you can see it.
